Really excellent food and lovely staff. Would highly recommend the Mountain Eggplant. A bit quiet on a Sunday night but I'm sure the atmosphere would be excellent on a busier night.

I had dinner here with family mid week. There weren't too many people dining early on, which made it nice and quiet and the service very fast. There was a choice on the menu to have Nepalese food or other Asian type food. We chose to share a few Nepalese dishes, the best one being tiger prawns in Nepalese curry. The price was very reasonable and plenty of food to fill you up. The only drawback was that this was a typical frosty Canberra night and the heating was struggling to keep the room warm enough.

Tucked away downstairs at the Curtin shops is this lovely gem of a restaurant. The very reasonably priced, good range of vegetarian and meat dishes are comprehensively described in the menu and we had no trouble choosing our own combination to share as an evening meal. The Mo mo (dumpling) entrees were a very tasty start and our mains of Bheda Ko Masu (lamb), Daal Bahat (beef) and Malai Kofta (paneer) were also delicious. The Hungry Buddha is BYO with low per person corkage costs. The friendly staff were efficient and appropriately attentive. Looking forward to another meal here.

Went there with a group and got the banquet. Service was slow, waited long time for entree and also then the main. Virtually no service, no one came to top up our water or ask if we wanted more drinks or even coffee/tea or desserts. We had to approach for the bill as we were just left at the table waiting for someone to clear the table or offer us more service. Food was nothing special. Would not go back.

We always go to The Hungry Buddha with Grandma. Usually the service is very average but the food is amazing so we keep going. We went this last Saturday and it was worse than ever. The food, again, delicious, nevertheless, we had this waitress that didn't bring what we order to the table and was a little bit blunt and not very nice as the other girls. But what I really won't forget is her practically throwing my mother's in law dessert from the corner of the table which took grandma by surprise because she passed in front of grandma (without even excusing herself or asking for permission), literally threw the dessert and left. We weren't in a corner or anything, she could've just walked two more steps and deliver the dessert properly. My husband and I are really considering going back because of this very unfortunate event. If you definitely *DON'T CARE ABOUT SERVICE*, visit The Hungry Buddha, they have seriously delicious food.

This was the second time we had visited and we were not disappointed. Service was efficient and prices decent. The food was full of flavour. I had the vegetarian dhal bhat and it was so good - didn't want it to end. Looking forward to our next visit
