Friendly service albeit slow. I found it overpriced for what it was. I ordered the antipasto and the first annoying issue was that they brought it over in a 'latest trendy' butcher's block which made it very difficult to eat from. The wooden block was at least one inch thick and because antipasto is by nature "oily' it makes it difficult to eat without struggling to keep the slippery food on top of the block. The olives (one of them which endest up on the floor), were not pitted, therefore you were force to eat it with your hands. Pleeease! olives with pits belong in a Pub. The bacon (or ham), looked like it was the left-over from breakfast. It was burned and tough as rubber. What an insult to someone's intelligent. I ended up leaving 80% of the antipasto. Not worth returning.

Perhaps it was the good reviews and my expectations were too high. Everything ordered was fine, staff and restaurant are pleasant, food is of good standard. But I couldn't find anything specially good either. Entree of arancini and bruschetta were generous, better order just one to share. Bella Bugs and Penne Pollo were fine, but similar can be had at other family-style Italian restaurants. Panna Cotta finish was fine, but a little oversized. Left feeling there was nothing that made me feel in a hurry to return.
Absolutely fantastic food, the atmosphere was great and the ladies serving us were wonderful ???? will definitely be going back for round 2!!!
Had dinner for 4 last night at Bella Cosi. Agree with other review comments in relation to lengthy wait period time - approx. 45mins to 1 hour. We acknowledge we didn't really mind the wait and that it seemed to be a 'peak' time around 7pm, as the venue was full of diners. We ordered Manzo (4/5 taste, approx. $26, portion was ridiculously large - at least 2-2.5 servings worth of pasta), Duck Lasagne (beautiful presentation, approx. $29, good portion size, 4/5), and two of the Barradmundi's (rated 4/5, approx. $32, seemed to be closer to an ideal portion size). First time we all tried polenta chips and they were also delicious! Overall, enjoyable experience, would go back!
Food was ok but not worth the incredibly long wait. Mains took 1 and a quarter hours to come out which we could almost have accepted if we didn't have young kids with us and if the owner hadn't told us one hour in to keep the kids "quiet". Please keep in mind one of the fathers at our table had already taken the kids to McDonalds playground up the road for 30minutes to keep them entertained expecting that the service wouldn't have been so slow and not expecting that there would still be another 40minutes to go until any food would come out. It also needs air con in the front section as it's way too uncomfortable.
Food tasted great, I had the Morton bay bug fettuccine. The flavours were great but presentation lacking a little. When we first entered, service was quick and friendly, having breads on our table relatively quickly, however mains took 50 minutes to arrive and the restaurant was unpleasantly warm where we sat.
This is a spectacular place. The food, atmosphere and attention to the customers everything was on point. The flavours were simple yet amazing and yummy. A must try place. I fell in love with their dessert. :D
Bella Cosi is an absolute dream. I've only been here around three times even though I don't live far but I'm always trying to convince people to come back with me. The service, food and atmosphere are consistently exceptional. Best cheese board I've hard in Brisbane so far! ohmessylifeblog.com
