I'm not usually a huge fan of 'Asian sweets', but there is something really moreish about these imagawayaki style pancakes. Don't think pancake, more of a filled pikelet type cake. Shop is just a hole in the wall, so nowhere to sit, but if you're prepared to invest $1.10 in a pancake (4-5 bites worth) you're unlikely to be disappointed. Service is really friendly too.

Having gone to Hot Cake House this time last year, I was somewhat surprised to see that Papa's Pancakes, which sells essentially the same hot cakes at a similar price had opened within the same shopping complex. Still remembering back in the days when there was a humble pancake shop near the Formosa Asian market where I would order their hotcakes or danish fingers and nibble on them. This is the brunch business! A lovely high quality beachy cafe which has a great menu with something for everyone.
Absolute pleasure having breakfast at Sandbar! The terrace offers fantastic view. And staff are friendly and quick. Love to come again someday.
